Ride Type: RTMC 9th Annual Meet ride.

Riders: RTMC Rider + Riders came from Madras Bull, Kovai Thumpers, Mysore and Shimoga Bull Groups. More then 150+ riders attended.

Date/Duration: 9th and 10th-Oct-2010 (2 days)

Program Avenue: at Shevaroys Hotel, Yercaud, Tamil Nadu

Route: Banaglore -> Hosur -> Krishnagiri -> Dharmapuri -> Salem -> Yercaud

Distance : 470 Km (Round Trip)

Ride log: I never attended RTMC annual meet and waiting for long to ride for this. Good finally I got one seat after waiting list.

09-Oct-2010 06.00 AM: We grouped front of Bosch at Hosur Road after Silk Board. Already some of the volunteer started early morning itself. So we 30 riders started from this place as a group. Yes off course some more riders started late and some riders start from different place. We started our ride at 7.00 AM from this place.

09-Oct-2010 09.00 AM: Its relax ride and reached A2B(Bharat Petroleum) for breakfast. Its regrouping point.

09-Oct-2010 12.45 PM: We reached Hotel and get dumped in room. Its really wonderful hotel and nice room(RTMC always find good hotel to stay)

09-Oct-2010 02.15 PM: We had very good lunch/Buff.

09-Oct-2010 04.00 PM: Its event time !!

09-Oct-2010 06.00 PM: Tech talk(about bull and tips) hosted by Bose sir(Technical Gyan). Its went long and very useful. Yes we seen lot of Q&A session followed by speech. Its really nice to see very passionate person, after his retirement still riding and passionate with Bull machine. He is recommended lot of tips for custom build. Any way I am not going to do anything

09-Oct-2010 07.30 PM: Prize distribution followed by 9A cake cutting.

09-Oct-2010 09.00 PM: Dinner/drink/dance/speak/shoute/etc whatever people love to do.

Overall: Its really wonderful even and well organized. I should thank to Organizing committee for well organized everything with BEST CARE. Huge crowed handled nicely and organized everything in excellent manner. we seen all type of the people attended the event like young, old, married, kids, etc. Generally more people come to one place, we will see more problem and concern. But I am NOT seen one bad incident also in the complete program. Its really amazing experience and fun. Waiting for 10A 🙂

Road Map: Bangalore -> Salam -> Coimbatore -> Palghat -> Thrissur -> Cochin -> Alleppey -> Kollam -> Trivandrum (800KM). We came back in same route.
Total Distance: 1630Km (round trip)
Road Status:
Bangalore – Salam : excellent four line road, Road construction completed so No more deviation
Salam – Coimbatore: Near 100km of road construction was completed and remaining will slow down our ride.
Coimbatore – Thrissur: Excellent two lane road.
Thrissur – Trivandrum : We can see more traffic and most of the place it will be two line. Slow down our ride.

07MAY09 04.00AM: We planned to start at Silkboard, Bangalore at 4.00 AM but we started at 4.45 AM. Morning we had very good ride but after 10.00 am itself it was very very hot in tamil nadu. When we entered in Keral, it was announced strike, so no traffic and shops.

07MAY09 07.00 PM: We reached at kollam and booked one ac room to stay. 

08MAY09 08.00 AM: We attended our Jayan marriage at kollam itself. It was Very simple and fast kerala standard marriage.

08MAY09 12.00 PM: We reached Varkala Beach, Kerala. Its very small and beautiful beach. We can see lot of restaurant at cliff. Amazing cliff !! Excellent place to relax.

08MAY09 07.00 PM: We reached Trivandrum and attended our jayan marriage reception. After long time we met all our Silver Bullet riders in this function. Nice to meet all our riders.

09MAY09 6.00 AM: We started planed for one day rid to reach bangalore. Its really very hot ride again. We reached salam at 5.30PM and decided to ride night. Unfortunate it was rain and heavy wind also, somehow we managed to ride in heavy wind and continued our ride. Rain was continued till hosur and reached home at 11.00 PM night.

Ride Participants from Silver Bullet Group:  from Bangalore(Udhaya, jsr, Jumbo & Jawahar) + from Trivandrum, Kerala(11 riders)

Road Map: Bangalore to Valparai, Tamil Nadu: Bangalore -> Krishnagiri -> Dharmapuri -> Toppur -> Bhavani -> Erode -> Tiruppur -> Pollachi -> Valparai (471 KM – Round trip – 930 km )

Total Km: 471 KM one way, 930 km round trip.

Duration/Date Time: Two day ride. We started on 13/Dec/08 6.15 AM & came back on 14/Dec/08 10.00 PM.

13/Dec/08: We started from Bangalore at 6.15 am, after 1 hrs ride my bike chain was broken, any way Jayan had chain lock backup and he fixed(Thanks lot to Jayan – Who is having mini mechanical shop in is bul always). We took breakfast at krishnakiri & started our ride, after lunch & some of the photo sessions we reached Valparai, Tamil Nadu at 7.00 PM. Great to meet more Trivandrum riders at night !! 

13/Dec/08: We started at 8.30 am, but after we stoped several placess while coming down from Valparai. Actually speaking we started our ride at 11.00 am. On the way we took lunch and reached Hosur for dinner. I reached my home at 10.00 pm.

Last six months I am thinking for this ride & finally it happens now. Great !!

Road Map: Bangalore(Silk Board) –NH7–> Krishnagiri –> Dharmapuri –> Salam –>Yercaud (245KM)

Total km: 525 km (round trip)

Road Status: Excellent high way, except Krishnagiri to Dharmapuri, because of high way construction.

Duration/Date Time: one and half days. we started on 03/May/08 6.20 AM at Silk Board & came back to Bangalore on 04/May/08 1.00 PM, after noon.

Petrol Bunk: Top of the mountain (Yercaud) also you can find petrol bunk. Yes off course you can find in high ways.

03/May/08 6.20 AM : Karthik, Udhaya & Jayan.S.R planed to ride, but jayan not feeling well, so myself and  karthik was started the ride. Its amazing road, we took breakfast at Krishnagiri and reached Yercaud at 10.30 AM. Its really wonderful ride with karthik.

We thought of dump our bags in some hotel room and spend some time in Yercaud, but we spend more time to get one single room & visited more then 10 hotels. Its season, so most of the hotels already full. Finally we got one deluxe room (990 rs per day) and dumped our bags and took rest.
No we decided to stay back in yercaud, So after noon we went for some sight seeing  Yercaud Lake, Kiliyur Falls, Shevaroyan Temple, Pagoda Point, Monfort School, Lady’s Seat. Its good place to see one time !! We came back to room at 6.00 PM itself.

04/May/08 7.30 AM : we started our return journey and completed breakfast at salam, we decided to ride slow and took one more break at Krishnagiri. We reached home at 1.00 pm afternoon.
Its nice ride !! Thanks lot to Karthik for this wonderful ride !!

2Days Week end Motorcycle Ride to Kalhatty(Ooty), Tamil Nadu from Bangalore, Karnataka – Round trip 654KM

One more worth & exciting week end, always I will think I need to go for ride with some bullet group. Because most of the time I am riding alone. Finally my dream came true this week end. I came to know about Silver Bullets (www.silver-bullets.org) Royal Enfield motorcycle club through Jayan S R(jayansr.blogspot.com). Very good people.

Roadmap:

Ride 1: started the ride from BTM, Bangalore on 01/Mar/08 at 6.30 AM traveled in Bangalore – Mysore high way(SH17). Before reaching mysore city we took deviation and joined in Bandipure High way(NH212). (This road will go through Bandipure National Park and Mudumalai National Park) we traveled in the same road & reached Kalhatty(15 km before ooty) at 1.30 PM. Totally we took 7 hrs to cover 293km with 2 break.

Ride 2: In evening we went to ooty(21 km from Kalhatty). then we started 17 km ride from ooty to coonoor. we spend some time in coonoor and came back to Kalhatty at night 9.30 PM.

Ride 3: on 02/Mar/08 1:00 pm, we started our return journey to Bangalore from Kalhatty at 1.00 PM in the same way & reached banglore at 8.00 PM with two breaks. Totally our round trip comes 654km in 2days.

Where we stayed: Kalhatty Jungle Camp, Kalhatty – 645005, Nilgris, TN, Phone-94430 53800, 0423-2252200, 0423-2252330. if you have bike, this is really very good and cheap place to stay, We paid 700Rs per head for per day with accommodation, food, etc

About our trip/Ride:

01/Mar/08 06:30 AM we(jaayan, Jo, jumbo & myself) started from BTM, Bangalore and reached Kalhatty at 01.30 PM. I really enjoyed this ride with group and following the proper signal. Its very good experience while riding in forest like Bandipure National Park & Mudumalai National park. We seen some of the animals (elephants, etc) while riding in this forest. (Moshaii & GK came to Kalhatty in evening).

01/Mar/08 05:00 PM we(jayan, Jo, Jumbo & myself) went to ooty/coonoor & came back to kalhatty at night. We visited the loco shed near coonoor railway station.

01/Mar/08 10:00 PM its fun time in camp(we had camp fire). We had wonderful entertainment for complete night because of GK. he is singing Malayalam songs for full night.

02/Mar/08 10:00 AM we went for trucking. Good exercise and seen very good bungalow top of the mountain.

02/Mar/08 01:00 PM we stared our ride back to Bangalore.

02/Mar/08 08:00 PM I reached my home, marathalli, banglaore.

While coming back from Kanyakumari – Nagarcoil We visited Madurai Meenakshi Temple. I am visiting second time to this temple, we can see any number of time this Indian Architecture Wonder !!! It’s really Amazing Architecture !!! Even we can’t think to implement now. We took 4 hours to see this complete temple, Yes of course we can spend full time also in this temple.

From India Madurai Meenakshi Temple & Taj Mahal nominated for World 7 Wonders.

This temple having FOUR TOWERs in four side of entrance. It’s having inner layer with 6 towers. In side your see Thousand Pillars Mandapam, temple for different god, water, etc

 One of the Greatest Architecture we can see in Tamil Nadu throw this Temple. Amazing thing is temple was built in 6th century BC.

While coming back from Kanyakumari We visited some of the good tourist place near Nagarcoil. We can spend one full day to see following good place near by Nagarcoil.

We took auto to visit this places from Nagarcoil bus stand, All this within 40 km from ngarcoil.

1.Tirparappu Water Falls: This is small and beautiful water falls. We can easily enter in the water & safe place also. Currently not rainy season in this place, So not much water in falls. We spend near 3 hours in this place.

2.Pechiparai Dam: The European Engineer Mr. Minchin constructed Pechiparai Dam during the period 1897-1906.  This   was built across Kodayar River about a mile below the confluence of the tributaries Kallar,  Sittar and Kuttiyar at Pechiparai a place 11 Km.  North of Kulasekaram and is 45 K.M. from Nagercoil.

3.Thotti Palam in Mathoor: it’s tamil word, it means Tank Bridge. Pechaiparai Dam water used for agricultura purpose and it’s reaching near 95 km around the dam. One of the places water is crossing TWO MOUINTAINS throw this bridge. Length of this bridge is 384 Mt [1240 Feet].

I went 4 days south tamil nadu tour throw government bus with my friends Sarunan, Manigandan, Prinso, Gopi. It’s really challenging traveling in govement bus for 4 days !!! I went to Kanniyakumari from bangalore (Bangalore – Salam – Madurai – Nagarcoil – Kanyakumari). I took near 20 hrs to reach this place.
We reached Kanyakumari and stayed in Vivekananda Asaramam itself, Rooms is very very cheap and good also. just 50 Rs per day. If you stay in this place, easily we can go and see the sunrise in morning.

Visited place in Kanyakumari:
1. Sun Rise & Sun Set: We went morning to see sun rise, But unfortunately because of the bad weather we are not able to see the Sun Rise.
2. Vivekananda Memorial in Kanyakumari: Swami Vivekananda came here in 1892. The memorial has been built on the Vivekananda Rock in 1970.

3.Thiruvalluvar Statue:

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Karunanidhi conceived the idea of installation of the statue of THIRUVALLUVAR in 1975, commenced the work in 1989 and on completion of the work in 1999, declared open the THIRUVALLUVAR STATUE on January 1, 2000, AD

THIRUVALLUVAR: The staue is an embodiment of the essence of Tamil Classic “Thirukkural” authored by saint Thiruvalluar born in 31 B.C, Thirukkural is a precious gem among the classics, Unique in the deliverance of code of conduct to the mankind to follow for all times. This classical work written in Tamil, has been translated in over 60 languages of the world. The statue is located at the confluence of the triseas and it depicts the great tenets of the Thirukkural namely virue, Wealth and love.
The imposing 133 feet high status was erected on a minor rock under guidance and supervision of the Dr.V.Ganapathy sthapathi, 500 Sculptors and technicians involved to complete this project.

The status stands 95 feet tall on the pedestal of 38 feet height, the whole statue depicts the essence of great work of the poet “Thiruvalluvar” Titled “Thirukkural”. The height of the pedestal symbolizes the first 38 chapter referring to virtue and height of 95 feet status symbolizes the rest of 95 chapters referring to wealsth and live. Around the beedam of the statue there is a “Artha andapam” constructed with 10 elephants representing the 10 direction of the universe. The granites, for the statue were prodcured from three quarries of Tamilnadu state, viz., one at ambasamudaram of Tirunelveli District and other two from Siruthamoor and Pattumalai kuppam of kaceepuram Distric. I have visited to Gingee to attend one of my friend Senthil Kumar.P marriage, I heard several time about this fort but I never went to this place, So we planned to visit this place while going to marriage. myself and Ravi Kumar.G visited to this fort, it’s really good, we took near 5 hours to see this complete place.

About: Gingee also pronounced,as “Shingee” is 37-km east of Thiruvannamalai. Gingee is famous for a fort complex dating back to 13th century,located on the 3 different hill summit covering 3-km boundary area. The Chola Dynasty built Gingee fort. The indomitable courage and valour of its erstwhile rulers made Father Pinments,a priest to call the Gingee Fort the “Troy of the East”.

About: Udhagamandalam (Ooty), the capital of Nilgiri district, is popularly known as the “Queen of hill stations’ among the tourist circuits. The height of the hills in the Nilgiri range varies between 2280 and 2290 metres, the highest peak being Doddabetta at a height of 2623 metres.

We(myself, Prabhu, Ravi, Senthil and Murali) went to Ooty tour for 2 days from Bangalore through Tamil Nadu Govement bus and came back in the same mode of travel.  We took one ambassador car(Mr.murugan owning this car – murali friend) for site seen. My friend murali native is ooty(Kothagiri) so he is very familiar with all this places, so went most of the places.

We booked a Bungalow at Kothagiri(in forest) through Murugan to stay one night , it’s really excellent place, we had Camp fire also.
